Announcement
We are announcing Round 45 with Target 136.
This target is a novel bacterial lysine decarboxylase LdcA, forming a homo-decamer with D5 symmetry and was determined by cryo-EM. The target is contributed by Irina Gutsche, Institut de Biologies Structurale, Grenoble, France.
This is the first large Cryo-EM complex offered as target to CAPRI. The problem is challenging but should be tractable, given that a good number of related structures are available in the PDB and that information from different templates can be combined. In the detailed target information posted when predictions open some clues will be provided to predictors on the similarities and differences with the structures of homologs.
