Protein Data Bank in Europe
EditPDBe is a founding member of the Worldwide Protein Data Bank which collects, organises and disseminates data on biological macromolecular structures. In collaboration with the other Worldwide Protein Data Bank (wwPDB) partners, we work to collate, maintain and provide access to the global repository of macromolecular structure models, the Protein Data Bank (PDB).
PDBe provides an integrated resource of high-quality macromolecular structures and related data, making it available to the biomedical community via intuitive user interfaces.
PDBe-KB is a community-driven resource managed by the PDBe team, collating functional annotations and predictions for structure data in the PDB archive. PDBe-KB is a collaborative effort between PDBe and a diverse group of bioinformatics resources and research teams.
PDBe-KB contains data contributed by projects such as SIFTS and FunPDBe and aims to place structures from the PDB in their biological context.
AlphaFold DB provides open access to protein structure predictions for the human proteome and 20 other key organisms to accelerate scientific research.
AlphaFold is an AI system developed by DeepMind that predicts a protein’s 3D structure from its amino acid sequence. It regularly achieves accuracy competitive with experimental structure determination.
DeepMind and EMBL’s European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) have partnered to create AlphaFold DB to make these predictions freely available to the scientific community.
The AlphaFold Protein Structure Database (AlphaFold DB) provides open access to protein structure predictions for the human proteome and many other key organisms to accelerate scientific research. Co-developed by DeepMind and EMBL-EBI.
The NMR pages at PDBe contain added-value services, such as OLDERADO and VASCO reports, visualisation tools and databases of recalculated structure ensembles as well as information on other NMR-related work in the team.
PDBeChem is a dictionary of chemical components (ligands, small molecules and monomers) referred to in PDB entries and maintained by the wwPDB. It provides comprehensive search facilities for finding a particular component, or determining components in structure entries or vice versa.
PDBeFold (SSM) is an interactive service for comparing protein structures in 3D.
PDBePISA is an interactive tool for the exploration of macromolecular (protein, DNA/RNA and ligand) interfaces, prediction of probable quaternary structures (assemblies), database searches of structurally similar interfaces and assemblies, as well as searches on various assembly and PDB entry param…
PDBe is the European resource for the collection, organisation and dissemination of 3D structural data on biological macromolecules and their complexes. Together with international partners, PDBe manages the global repositories of molecular and cellular structure data, the Protein Data Bank (PDB) an…
PDBe-KB (Protein Data Bank in Europe – Knowledge Base) is a community-driven resource managed by the PDBe team, collating functional annotations and predictions for structure data in the PDB archive. PDBe-KB is a collaborative effort between PDBe and a diverse group of bioinformatics resources and r…
SIFTS, a joint project between UniProt and PDBe, is an up-to-date resource for residue-level mapping between UniProt and PDB entries. The resource provides further residue level annotation from the IntEnz, GO, Pfam, InterPro, SCOP, CATH and PubMed databases.

EditBhogaraju group at EMBL Grenoble has several postdoc positions open to conduct fundamental and translational research into a class of understudied human ubiquitin ligases. Our group explores Melanoma-associated antigen (MAGE)-RING ubiquitin ligases (MRLs) some of which are highly oncogenic. We are l…
