Small-molecule inhibitor: tynorphin
Name
- Common name
- tynorphin
- Other names
- Val-Val-Tyr-Pro-Trp
Inhibition
- History
- The design of the pentapeptide inhibitor tynorphin was based on that of spinorphin, with deletion of the N-terminal and C-terminal residues (Yamamoto et al., 2000).
- Peptidases inhibited
- Dipeptidyl-peptidase III (DPP III). Ki for the human enzyme was 75 nM (Yamamoto et al., 2000) whereas DPP III from Drosophila melanogaster was more weakly inhibited (Mazzocco et al., 2003).
- Mechanism
- Reversible.
