Maintaining our data centres

Data Centre Maintenance in Hinxton, UK will start on the afternoon of Friday 26 August and finish on the evening of Tuesday 30 August 2016.

Every five years, EMBL-EBI's on-campus data centre, located in Hinxton, has to be shut down for mandatory electrical safety checks. We have scheduled this year's shut-down over the UK's public holiday weekend to minimise disruption.

Most of our public data resources are served from our off-campus data centre, which will continue operating as normal. However, some aspects of our public data services may depend on the campus data centre, so these may not be operating as usual.

Please consult individual services if you notice any issues with performance.

We expect normal service to return by Tuesday evening (30/8/16).
