Expression Atlas 40 released
The latest Expression Atlas 40 release is now live, containing new RNA-seq datasets, including a featured experiment resulting from a collaboration with Genotype Tissue Expression (GTEx) project as well as new proteomics data derived from our collaboration with PRIDE.
In total, this release comprises 4451 datasets, encompassing microarray gene expression profiling, RNA-seq (1418), and proteomics (108) datasets. Within this collection, 354 datasets provide reports on baseline gene expression, representing 47 distinct organisms and 4097 datasets offering differential comparisons across 51 different organisms. Altogether, the release contains data from a diverse range of 66 species.
New datasets
This release introduces both new baseline and differential experiments. To highlight just a few – the latest version of the GTEx project dataset is now live on Expression Atlas, alongside 15 newly added baseline proteomics datasets from pigs (14) and Arabidopsis – the Arabidopsis proteomic tissue atlas through collaboration with PRIDE.
Other notable new experiments added in this release include a transcriptomics study of whole ovarian follicles, investigating gene expression alterations in young and old mice and RNA-seq of splenic DC1 and DC2 cells in mice.
New feature
Cross-links have been introduced between related transcriptomics and proteomics datasets to simplify data discovery across different experiment types.
