ENA Brokering Documentation
IPD-IMGT/HLA now supports brokering of submissions to the European Nucleotide Archive (ENA). This means submitters can make a single submission to IPD-IMGT/HLA without the need to have submitted to ENA first.
IPD brokered submissions to ENA are referenced to the original submitter to IPD-IMGT/HLA in the ENA database. Any changes to the ENA entry after submission must be made through IPD. By allowing IPD to broker submissions to ENA you agree for your data to be made public in the next IPD-IMGT/HLA Database release.
There are some things you need before getting started:
- A valid IPD submitter ID - please see our registration page
- A valid IPD submitter Email - please see our Add new email page to register a new email with your IPD submitter ID.
- A valid IPD Brokered ENA study accession - please see our ENA study registration page to register a new ENA study.
Once you have these, you can submit your sequence data to IPD-IMGT/HLA using the HLA submission tool. When you reach the INSDC Database step, you will be able to select the option to broker your submission to ENA and provide your ENA study accession.
An ENA study accession allows you to group related submissions together. If you have multiple studies, you can register multiple ENA study accessions with your IPD submitter ID.
