Deutsch Knochenmarkspenderdatei (DKMS)
DKMS German Bone Marrow Donor Centre uses search determinants combined with DNA based results for reporting to the German registry (ZKRD).
To generate search determinants of alleles, we use the rel_dna_ser.txt file available on the web page http://hla.alleles.org/wmda/index.html ("HLA Nomenclature in WMDA file format"). The available serological information (unambiguous, possible or assumed) is used to assign a search determinant to an allele. If no serological information is available for an allele we use the broad serology of the allele group, normally based on the first two digits.
The search determinants are renewed each time the underlying file is updated.
