IPD-IMGT/HLA Funding

How can you help?

To maintain and develop the IPD-IMGT/HLA Database we need to ensure we have on-going funding. Without this, we would be unable to regularly update the database or to add new features, like the recently re-developed submission tool.

The development of the IPD-IMGT/HLA Database was originally funded by an EU BIOTECH grant and has since been supported by the Imperial Cancer Research Fund (Now Cancer Research UK), the National Institute of Health, the NMDP and more recently by the Anthony Nolan.

To continue to provide this resource, alternate sources of financial support are sought for the continued maintenance and future development of the database. The Sequence.org initiative at the NMDP solicits funds from institutions, societies and commercial companies who utilise the data produced and use it as critical components of their business or operations.

If you are actively using any data or tools from this site, or our associated sites and repositories, please contact Benjamin Hester, (Email: bhester@nmdp.org), to discuss funding opportunities.

“We gratefully acknowledge the continued support of our sponsors and other funding organisations. It is these sponsors who make it possible for us to deliver the data and resources to the community. For over 25 years we have received support from the HLA community for this project allowing us to provide the data and tools you need. But now we need to ask for your help, not just for this year but for the longer future to ensure the database continues to be there to support so much of the work you all do.”
J Robinson, Director of Bioinformatics, Anthony Nolan
