DefinitionA class of azamacrocyclic natural products with a 2,7-dioxo-1,6-diazacyclododecane skeleton that includes the syringolin, glidobactin and cepafungin natural product families. In addition to their related molecular frameworks, members of the class share similar biosynthesis pathways and identical modes-of-action, being irreversible proteasome inhibitor that inhibit all three activities of eukaryotic proteasomes.
