Systems biomedicine
PhD students are recruited via the EMBL International PhD Programme (https://www.embl.org/about/info/embl-international-phd-programme/). For queries regarding the programme, please contact the EBI Research Office (roffice@ebi.ac.uk). Other open positions in the lab are advertised on the EBI jobs page (https://www.ebi.ac.uk/about/jobs).
Beyond these openings, if you are interested to join us to use bioinformatics, machine learning, and mathematical modeling to analyze big data to advance personalized medicine, please contact us as below.
We can also, in exceptional circumstances, offer short-term placements for Masters students, interns, and other visitors who share a passion for our research interests. In general, these are for a period of six months or longer, although shorter internships of 3-4 months may be possible.
For all informal enquiries and applications for short-term placements, candidates should email their CV and a letter of interest to saezlab@ebi.ac.uk, including names of (ideally three) references. The letter of interest has to be tailored to our group, mentioning projects or articles of our group that you find interesting, and explaining how you would fit in our group. Please also provide a pointer to a code repository if possible. Non-specific applications without this tailored expression of interest or sent to a different address will not be considered.
