DefinitionA malate salt resulting from the reaction of equimolar amounts of pizotifen and malic acid. A sedating antihistamine with strong serotonin antagonist and weak antimuscarinic activity, it is used for the treatment of migraine and the prevention of headache attacks during cluster periods.
