DefinitionA monomethoxybenzene that is o-cresol in which phenolic hydroxy group has been converted to the corresponding methyl ether. A 'green' solvent (b.p. 171 °C) and food flavour ingredient, it is found in mastic oils, virgin olive oils and frankincense.
