Genomic resources for non-vertebrate species
We are actively involved in a number of collaborations:
The Designing Future Wheat Institute Strategic Programme spans eight research institutes and universities and aims to develop new wheat germplasm containing the next generation of key traits. Within the Data Access and Analysis work package we integrate wheat genomic data into Ensembl Plants for use by researchers and breeders.
A curated, open-source, integrated data resource for comparative functional genomics in crops and model plant species. We work extensively with Gramene to support their data analysis systems through our multi-year collaboration.
Increasing Plant data findability and reuse beyond ELIXIR
The focus is on dissemination of results and improving fundability through development of a portal, reusable training materials and service bundles for the plant science community including the Ensembl Plants platform.
An international and interdisciplinary infrastructure project on insect vectors of human and animal disease, including mosquitoes, sandflies, other flies, and ticks. We provide analysis and data processing systems which help facilitate the dissemination of vector genomes.
An international coordination effort to improve rice gene annotation including development of the rice pan gene set. All rice data will be available via Ensembl Plants.
