Getting started
Notice: This documentation has been deprecatedFor new web site development and existing site improvement, please refer to the EBI Visual Framework (v1.1) documentation. All services are expected to use the new framework by February 2017. |
If you are building a new website or you want to completely redesign an existing site, this is the place to begin.
The EBI styleguide has been produced to help web designers and developers at the EBI to produce web sites more easily. It describes the building blocks for creating a website with the new EBI design.
The easiest way to implement the styleguide is to download the EBI boilerplate (see links below) - this is an HTML file that you can use as a template for your own pages. It contains the HTML for the EBI header and footer and placeholders for your project name / logo and page content. It also links to the core stylesheets you'll need to make your webpages look like part of the EBI website.
To get started,
- Download the EBI boilerplate (Compliance)
- Download the EBI boilerplate (Mitigation)
- Generate your colour stylesheet (optional)
- Add a stylesheet of custom styles you need to accomodate your specific content (optional)
