Sequence search results: exploring other proteins in the family
It is possible to find all the UniProtKB proteins that match a protein family, using the ‘Proteins‘ tab in the left-hand side menu in the InterPro family page (Figure 20).
Click the ‘Proteins‘ link to see other proteins in UniProtKB with the same family membership:
Clicking on the ‘Proteins‘ tab takes us to a page like the one shown in Figure 20. This is a paginated list of UniProtKB proteins, showing their accession number, name, species, coding gene, availability of a predicted structure and the location of the InterPro entry match in the protein.
Sequences with a tick symbol are from Swiss-Prot, the manually annotated section of UniProtKB (reviewed), while others are from the automatically annotated section TrEMBL (unreviewed). The list of proteins can be filtered to show all proteins, only reviewed proteins or only unreviewed proteins. The proteins can be downloaded in different formats by clicking the ‘Download‘ button at the top right of the table.
