MGnify practicals
To help you with exploring some of the features of MGnify, work through this hands-on practical, developed for researchers working with eDNA samples.
After completing the exercises in this practical you will be able to:
- Search for relevant data in MGnify
- Browse and navigate the MGnify website to find relevant information
- Download metagenomic datasets
- Identify the relationships between different data types and analysis types available in MGnify
Do it yourself: MGnify practical
Prerequisites for the MGnify practical:
- The practical is hosted in JupyterLite notebook which requires an up-to-date web browser
- Experience with Python is beneficial but not essential to follow along with the exercises
If you want to learn more about the tools, processes, and analysis approaches used in metagenomics explore the course materials created from an EMBL-EBI live course: Metagenomics bioinformatics at MGnify
