You can export data from Ensembl in a number of ways. The appropriate method will depend upon the amount of data you wish you retrieve; small and medium sized datasets can be exported using the download options in the browser while large and genome-wide datasets can be accessed programmatically and as bulk downloads:

• Export small amounts of data from the Ensembl browser
• Retrieve data programmatically using GraphQL and Refget
• Download complete databases as flat files from the FTP site
