Accessing and navigating Ensembl
You can access Ensembl via any internet browser by visiting www.ensembl.org.
The Ensembl Data Platform is an app-based system; each Ensembl app allows you to complete a specific set of genomic tasks and analyses. Follow this step-by-step guide to access data in Ensembl for the first time:
1. Find and add a genome:
2. Use Search or the example links to view a gene or region:

Individual apps are represented by unique icons. To open an app, select its icon from the App bar at the top of the page.
