Macromolecular Structure Database Group Projects - Welcome to IIMS!
The overall goal of IIMS is to develop
a system to integrate the results of three-dimensional electron
microscopy (3D-EM) with models from X-ray and NMR methods.
Publications
These include:
- Presentation to Gordon Research
Conference, 2001 (URL)
- Editorial comments on the
project from the journal Nature Structural Biology (PDF)
- Recent recommendations and aims relating to the
project, following the IIMS workshop (see below), in a meeting
review published in the journal Structure (PDF)
- A description of the project in the journal Trends
in Biochemical Sciences (PDF)
3D-EM database
The NEW 3D-EM database provides a facility for storing volume
maps, relevant textual descriptors and data files containing
figures and sections. Where applicable the database also contains
layer-line data and structure factor files. For further information
go to (3D-EM Data Format)
Deposition to 3D-EM database
http://www.ebi.ac.uk/msd-srv/emdep
Atomic coordinate data from EM studies should be deposited
in the existing Protein Data Bank (PDB). For further information
go to (EM@PDB)
