However, the microbiomes involved in AD are not fully understood highlighting the importance of community profiling study for getting essential information on how the communities are structured. Here, we profiled microbial communities of fifteen full-scale anaerobic digesters operated by regional waste water treatment company. Using amplicon 16S sequencing of V4 regions, we observed a presence of highly diverse microbiomes and differences between samples associated with digesters operational status and feedstock pre-treatment.
