About Single Cell Expression Atlas
What is Single Cell Expression Atlas?
Single Cell Expression Atlas is an open resource for exploring gene expression at single-cell resolution across species, tissues, and biological conditions.
The service brings together curated public datasets and presents harmonised analysis outputs in a consistent interface for exploration, comparison, and download.
What can you do here?
- Search for a gene and review where it is expressed across experiments.
- Browse experiments by species and metadata attributes.
- Inspect marker genes and cluster-level patterns from re-analysed studies.
- Download metadata and result files for further analysis.
Data curation and re-analysis
Experiments are selected from public archives, curated by domain experts, and processed through a standard analysis workflow to support cross-study comparability.
Some datasets are included as externally analysed submissions and are clearly labelled so users can distinguish them from Atlas re-analysed studies.
Search and visualisation
Single Cell Expression Atlas supports discovery through gene search and metadata-driven exploration, including interactive visualisations of clusters, expression, and marker-gene summaries.
