DefinitionA mixture of 2,4-dinitro-6-octylphenyl crotonates in which 'octyl' is a mixture of 1-methylheptyl, 1-ethylhexyl and 1-propylpentyl groups. A component of dinocap, which is used as a protectant fungicide for powdery mildew control. The most active component is where R = 1-methylheptyl, which has the ISO common name meptyldinocap.
