DefinitionA cyclodepsipeptide derived from an N-(β-hydroxyacyl)glycyl-L-valyl-L-leucyl-L-alanyl-L-alanine by the formal condensation of the alcoholic hydroxy group with the C-terminal carboxy group. Emericellamides A and B were originally found in the marine-derived fungus Emericella sp. (strain CNL-878), while emericellamides A, C, D, E, and F were found in Aspergillus nidulans.
