Filters and views

Once you have your BLAST results (Figure 52), you can do the following from the results page:

• Use the filters on the left hand side to narrow down your search results
• See information about BLAST parameters including E-value, score and identity
• Run another BLAST search by selecting an entry and clicking on ‘BLAST’ in the Tools menu
• Align your BLAST results by selecting multiple entries and clicking on ‘Align’ in the Tools menu
• Click on any of the alignment bars in the overview to see the alignment at the sequence level (Figure 53). You can add sequence feature information by using the ‘Select Annotation’ dropdown menu or use the ‘Highlight properties’ feature to indicate regions of, for example, hydrophobicity.
