Summary and Model Confidence tab
This tab gives you the key information for a specific AlphaFold Database entry.
At the top, you find related information to the protein entry, which allows fast judgment of the prediction quality. The structure page also contains related links and information, including a link to the protein’s UniProt page and information on the protein’s function.
The main area of the page provides an overview of the entry, including:
- Average pLDDT and pLDDT distribution: A quick look at the overall confidence of the model.
- Protein sequence: The amino acid sequence for the protein.
- An interactive 3D viewer: This is powered by Mol* and allows you to view the predicted structure.
- An interactive PAE plot: The Predicted Aligned Error plot, which helps you assess inter-domain confidence.
- Audit history: This section includes the date the model was created.
Controlling the 3D view with presets
Below the summary information, a collapsible accordion on the right of the graphical viewer highlights important features of the entry, such as Domains and Annotations. Expanding each of these sections provides more detail and links the feature directly to the 3D viewer, so you can easily explore regions of interest.
For example, clicking on “Domains” will highlight the domains in the 3D view.
