Embryo visualisation
The IMPC has an advanced system to visualise embryos in order to detect morphological abnormalities taking place during development.
Mice lines are studied in this way when homozygous mice for the knockout allele present a lethal phenotype at the pre-weaning stage (you can read more about the viability procedure in the Mouse phenotyping section of this course).
The Interactive Embryo Viewer provides a means to explore the IMPC’s embryo image data. See the figures below to see how you can access it. It is quite an incredible resource!
