Introduction to Perseus
Trainers: Carlo de Nart, Peli Kyriakidou
Overview: The Perseus program serves as the platform for most bioinformatics analysis that is performed on the output tables of MaxQuant or from other sources. It extends from basic data transformation and normalization functionalities to statistical tests, clustering, enrichment and up to machine learning algorithms. The session starts with a presentation of Perseus’ functionalities like the statistics tools and the data visualization components. Afterwards, the participants learn the basic usage of Perseus in hands-on training.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this session you will be able to:
- Describe what Perseus is
- Use Perseus for downstream data analyses such as bioinformatics, data normalization, statistics, graphs, clustering, integration of data sets
