Proteogenomics

Overview: This session will provide an overview of approaches to integrate proteomics and genomics data followed by a hands on demonstration of how to map MS peptide identifications to the genome and visualise in a genome browser along slide genomic annotations and data sets. An example of proteogenomics in the field of immunopeptidomics is given.

By the end of this session, participants will:

• Define what proteogenomics is
• Describe of how proteogenomics can be applied to enhance proteomics experiments
• Be able to use proteogenomic tools to:
  • Map peptides to the genome
  • Visualise proteomic data as a track in a genome browser
