INSTALLATION FOR RCSB EXCHANGE 

In this installation the Source database is MSD Archive, and uses the mmCIF dictionary stored in the metadatabase over  Oracle msdrep6d database. Here   the mapping  used  is termed  Role 'O'.

For the loading  process  MSD has defined  have on the server side  a set of views that correspond closely to mmCIF categories.  For the exporting is used the same strategy and in many cases the same views. However, additional   views were written (Oracle Pl/Sql) to permit a quick,  appropriate  and complete extracting of  data.  They are in a parallel schema of MSD Archive which is informed  to OraCIF as original Source of data, the  loader views required are handle as databases synonyms.  This Schema  has only grant select on  Archive DB information permitting that The Exporter  never can modify  the data.  The list of categories that Generator could consider valid and are being exported currently  is in this link join in the name of the stored database procedures created by Generator and that implement their extracting methods.
