INSTALLATION FOR THE ATLAS PAGES 

In this installation the data  must be  taken from Search and Archive  databases, however,   the distribution of categories is considered  temporary and in the near  future the unique  source database   will be MSD Search.  

Some new items were added  in the dictionary to supply the goals of  exporting processes and an   special mapping (Role "L" ) was defined. To maintain the MSD strategy,  were created  views in a parallel schema of Search database, which is reported to OraCIF as a data source.

The set of procedures created  by Generator use OraCIF   utilities to coordinate the correspondence between internal codes for  the same PDB identifier  in different databases.  The MSD Archive Database permits several instances for the same deposition.

Additional programs are required   for  manipulating  data previous to  the  exporting process .   An installation of OraCIF takes and formats data but doesn't  (and doesn't must)  produce or store source data.    For this reason a small utilities package  was created in the parallel  MSD Search schema  to populate a special table, which is used in different  views.  In this way missing depositions titles are generated,  citation authors are defined from Pubmed information tables, and obsoletes PDB information  are taken from other databases.   This job  is no part of OraCIF, but  in It's  parameters  can be required to execute a  specific program in the source database(s).
