Native CtmAB oxidizes a wide range of monocyclic monoterpenes containing the allylic methyl group motif (1-methyl-cyclohex-1-ene) (PubMed:29716998). Can also catalyze the reverse reaction, the reduction of perillyl alcohol to limonene, but with lower efficiency (PubMed:29716998).
