Course Overview
An introduction to metabolomics and application of metabolomics in life sciences. Overview of the most commonly used tools and online resources. The workshop will cover web-based tools and metabolomics data repository, MetaboLights based at EMBL-EBI.
Audience
The workshop is aimed at PhD, post-doctoral researchers and principle investigators working in wet-lab biology. It will be of use to participants who are looking for a basic introduction to metabolomics resources from the EBI and those after an introduction to basic analysis.
Learning outcomes
After this course you should be able to...
- Appreciate the range of analysis software and web tools available
- Conduct basic analysis of simple metabolomics datasets
- Understand how to use and submit to the MetaboLights repository
- Make use of other relevant metabolomics data resources from the EBI
