WorkflowHub

If you are searching for existing workflows that have been developed already, workflow registries make it easier to find what you are looking for.

WorkflowHub.eu is an example of a registry that is used for describing, sharing and publishing scientific computational workflows developed as part of the EOSC-Life project. It assists with making workflows findable and accessible.

WorkflowHub is Workflow Management System agnositic. It includes more than 700 workflows of many different types, such as those developed in Galaxy, Jupyter and Python. Workflows have digital object identifiers (DOIs) assigned to them and can be built into workflow collections.6

Using WorkflowHub it is possible to search for a specific workflow or use the filters to browse for a suitable workflow (figure 2).

Figure 2. WorkflowHub lists available workflows. It can be browsed, searched and filtered to find relevant workflows.

So far in this tutorial, we have considered what workflows are and how to find one to help your work. On the next few pages, we will highlight some factors to think about when creating workflows.
