Getting data from Rfam
Bulk download of data
You can download the entire Rfam Mysql database dump from our ftp site, both the current version of the database and previous versions. Here you will also find other bulk downloads, such as the CM library, all Rfam seed sequences and mapping files. Further details about the files available on the ftp site can be viewed here.
Programmatic access to Rfam
We provide an API for programmatic access to Rfam data. A description of the API and example scripts can be found on our help pages.
You can also access a public read-only MySQL database containing the latest version of Rfam data; view how to connect and example queries here.
