The PhenoMeNal Gateway is the portal to your own PhenoMeNal Cloud Research Environment (CRE) containing an array of essential metabolomics applications. This course will give you an overview of PhenoMeNal Gateway, how to create your cloud research environment, and how to use the PhenoMeNal Galaxy instance for workflows for metabolomics data.

Feedback and help

Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at metabolomics researchers and bioinformaticians. An undergraduate-level knowledge of biology and metabolomics would be an advantage. You do not need to be a bioinformatician to use PhenoMeNal, but an understanding of the tools and steps used to analyse metabolomics data would be useful.

We recommend that you first complete our course Metabolomics: An introduction. You might also be interested in our course MetaboLights: Quick tour.

PhenoMeNal uses Galaxy to create metabolomics workflows. To familiarise yourself with Galaxy we recommend these guided tours from the Galaxy team.

What will I achieve?

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Describe what PhenoMeNal is and when to use it
  • Create your cloud research environment
  • Use the PhenoMeNal Galaxy instance
