The results of the submitted job are accessible in the Results + Your InterProScan Searches tab of the InterPro website menu. On this page, click on the sequence ID in the Results column. How to interpret the results shown in the graphical representation?

All Pfam signatures are displayed in the protein sequence viewer. The coloured bars indicate the location of signature matches on the protein sequence. Each matched Pfam entry is displayed on a separate line.

The description and Pfam accession and whether the Pfam signature is integrated into an InterPro entry is displayed on the right hand side of the protein viewer and also in the pop-up box or tooltip that appears by hovering the mouse over any coloured bar if active. The tooltip also shows the accession number, description and amino acid coordinates of the match.

On top of the sequence viewer, different icons allow to display the viewer on full screen and zoom in and out of the protein sequence. The Options button offers to personalise the display by changing the colour code of the entries, the labels (accession number, short name and/or description) displayed on the right-hand side of the viewer, enabling the tooltip. A summary of the annotations or the full list of annotations can be visualised by selecting the corresponding option in the Feature Display Mode.

What can we see in the results for our example of sequence search?

In the example shown in Figure 9, the sequence searched has significant matches with four different entries through its length. All the four Pfam entries displayed along the queried sequence are integrated into InterPro entries of type Domain.
