Downloading Protein sequences
It is possible to retrieve sequences for a particular species or subset of the taxonomy within a Pfam entry, from the Taxonomy tab in the left-hand menu of a Pfam page. By default, the sunburst view is displayed.
As shown in Figure 13, after choosing the taxon in the sunburst (mammals in this example), clicking on the number of sequences on the right-hand side will list all the proteins matched to this Pfam entry (PF02171) that belong to this taxon (mammals). In the top right corner, several download options are available, including the possibility of generating a FASTA file of the corresponding protein sequences.
