Pathogens Portal
Quick tour
The Pathogens Portal was launched in July 2023 to enable researchers, clinicians, and policymakers to access a comprehensive set of biomolecular data across all pathogens. This course provides a short overview of what the Pathogens Portal is, focusing on how to access, retrieve data, and submit data.
Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at scientists and other users interested in learning about the Pathogens Portal. While no specific prerequisites are required to understand the Pathogens Portal organisation, navigate it, and access its data, an undergraduate-level knowledge in biology, life sciences or public health is needed to make full and extended use of its resources.
Supported by:
The Pathogens Portal has received support from the NIAID BRC program of the National Institutes of Health as part of the Pathogen Data Network, and the European Union’s Horizon Europe, and Horizon 2020 research and innovation programmes. For more details on funding, visit the Pathogen Portal “Partners” page.
What will I achieve?
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Explain the purpose of the Pathogens Portal
- Describe what data is accessible through the Pathogens Portal
- Search, retrieve, and download data from the Pathogens Portal
- Identify where to submit pathogen-related data
