Project SCORE
Project SCORE is a web portal that allows researchers to explore the results of CRISPR-Cas9 whole-genome dropout screens across a diverse collection of human cancer cell models, and to identify dependencies in cancer cells to help guide precision cancer medicines.
The web portal is available at https://score.depmap.sanger.ac.uk/.
This project also developed a scoring framework to prioritise which genes have the potential to make the best cancer therapeutic targets. The framework aggregates and summarises evidence on the expression level of the gene, fitness scores based on the CRISPR data generated within the project, association with a potential therapeutic biomarker, and clinical relevance based on expression in patient tumours.
