Deep dive into common disease genetics data (GWAS and QTL studies)
The Open Targets Platform is built upon a significant effort to analyse genome-wide associations studies (GWAS) and interpret them in the context of functional genomics studies. Users can dig into this data directly in the Platform, and explore our study, variant, and credible set pages to find out more.
Our in-house analysis pipeline, Gentropy, is a highly-scalable python framework for post-GWAS analysis. Using data from the GWAS Catalog, the eQTL Catalogue, FinnGen, and proteomics from the UK Biobank Pharma Proteomics Project, our genetics pipeline provides evidence for target-disease associations from common disease genetics, using our Locus-to-Gene (L2G) machine learning pipeline to prioritise likely causal genes at each GWAS locus.
