Functional analysis

Functional analysis (Figure 8) is included for metagenomic and assembly analyses where such predictions can be made. It includes general statistics about predicted features, such as the number of rRNAs and  the number of predicted protein coding sequences in the sequence set. It also displays protein function annotations in the form of InterPro analysis results, as well as the Gene Ontology terms, Pfam matches and KEGG Ortholog matches predicted for the sequences. All of the charts and underlying data can be downloaded.

Figure 8 Functional analysis: this tab is available for WGS and assembly studies. Within this page there are multiple tabs (highlighted) that contain the various functional analyses. At the top of the page, a summary bar-chart shows the number of sequences in the set for which each prediction could be made. The default functional analysis tab (shown here) displays a summary of the InterPro results for the sequence set.
