Methods for exploring newly-annotated species in Ensembl Rapid Release
Newly sequenced genomes, including those produced by the Darwin Tree of Life project, are all added to Ensembl Rapid Release. These genomes have minimal annotation, with genes mapped onto the genome, protein domain analysis and homologue predictions.
This webinar with Benjamin Moore (Ensembl outreach coordinator, EMBL-EBI), recorded on 09 March 2022, demonstrates the data available for newly-annotated species in the Ensembl Rapid Release site and shows how to cross-reference against more fully-annotated genomes in the main Ensembl genome browser.
By the end of the webinar recording you will be able to:
- Explore newly sequenced genomes
- Identify how to cross-reference newly annotated genomes against fully annotated genomes
- Find more about Ensembl Rapid Release
