Using data from public resources
Publicly available data serves as a valuable resource for researchers, promoting the reuse of existing information to support new studies and encourage innovation. Additionally public data resources play an integral role in the data management cycle, providing a platform for researchers to access data but also to store and manage their own. By contributing their own datasets to these repositories, researchers advance scientific collaboration and ensure that their data can be preserved, shared, and reused by others.

Later in the course we will cover the benefits of data sharing and provide information on the data submission process.
