Getting data from GOA and QuickGO
Downloading Annotations
GOA produces gene association files each month, containing all available GO annotations for UniProtKB proteins. These files include:
- UniProt File: Contains GO annotations for proteins across all species in UniProtKB.
- Species-Specific Files: Focused on certain species with complete proteomes, such as human, mouse, Arabidopsis, yeast, and zebrafish.
The GOA gene association files can be downloaded from the download page on the GOA website. Previous versions of these files are also accessible via the GOA FTP site.
QuickGO API
QuickGO provides access to GO term information and GO annotation data through RESTful web services. Detailed instructions for accessing these services are available on the QuickGO API page.
