{"id":70,"date":"2020-04-28T10:57:24","date_gmt":"2020-04-28T10:57:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ebi.ac.uk\/training\/online\/courses\/genome-properties-tutorial\/?page_id=70"},"modified":"2020-05-20T09:09:53","modified_gmt":"2020-05-20T09:09:53","slug":"what-does-genome-properties-contain","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ebi.ac.uk\/training\/online\/courses\/genome-properties-tutorial\/what-does-genome-properties-contain\/","title":{"rendered":"What does Genome Properties contain?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are six different types of Genome Properties entries:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>PATHWAY &#8211; Enzymatic pathways, each step within the property is an enzyme<\/li><li>SYSTEM &#8211; Similar to pathways, but can include non-enzymatic steps<\/li><li>METAPATH &#8211; Pathways or systems where one or more steps can be represented by another Genome Property<\/li><li>GUILD &#8211; Groups of related proteins without a defined sequence of function<\/li><li>COMPLEX &#8211; Stable macromolecular complexes<\/li><li>CATEGORY &#8211; Organisational properties, used to classify the other properties into a hierarchy<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Genome Properties was originally developed within the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jcvi.org\/research\/tigrfams\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TIGRFAMs\u00a0resource<\/a>, using their\u00a0protein family\u00a0models to describe predominantly prokaryotic properties. Since being established within\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ebi.ac.uk\/interpro\/\" target=\"_blank\">InterPro<\/a>, we have sought to expand the coverage using two main approaches.
