Step 3 – Access the cDNA sequence

Figure 50 The cDNA view shows the cDNA, CDS and protein sequences.

  • Click on the ‘cDNA’ link in the left hand menu to open the cDNA sequence view (Figure 50)
  • The UTR is shown in the image, highlighted in yellow.  Following that, the coding sequence is shown along with the protein sequence.
  • To export the sequence, click on ‘Download sequence’ above the legend. Use the dialogue box that opens to select the sequence you want to export.
  Did you know? You could also look at the Exons view in the transcipt to see the exon sequences… but not the protein.
