It uses this evidence to build and score target-disease associations, to assist in drug target identification and prioritisation. It also integrates relevant annotation information about targets, diseases, phenotypes, and drugs, as well as their most relevant relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Platform is a freely available, open source resource that is actively maintained, with four releases a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This clip, from a webinar recorded on the 31st January 2024, covers the different ways in which you can access the data in the Platform, depending on the complexity of the query. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"text-align:center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/embl-ebi.cloud.panopto.eu\/Panopto\/Pages\/Embed.aspx?id=9c259212-bd55-49a7-9542-b11401127bef&#038;autoplay=false&#038;offerviewer=true&#038;showtitle=true&#038;showbrand=true&#038;captions=false&#038;interactivity=all\" height=\"405\" width=\"720\" style=\"border: 1px solid #464646;\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay\" aria-label=\"Panopto Embedded Video Player\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>For queries about a <strong>single entity<\/strong> (disease, target, drug), or a <strong>single target-disease association<\/strong>, you can use either:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Platform\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/platform.opentargets.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">web interface<\/a>, in which individual data tables and visualisations can be downloaded for further analysis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/api.platform.opentargets.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GraphQL API<\/a>, accessible with the programming language of your choice, or <a href=\"http:\/\/api.platform.opentargets.org\/api\/v4\/graphql\/browser\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">API playground<\/a> with built-in documentation, which is useful for constructing and testing queries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For any more complex queries, we recommend using either:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Google BigQuery instance \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/console.cloud.google.com\/bigquery?project=open-targets-prod\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">open-targets-prod<\/a> \u2014 which supports SQL-like queries. Open Targets Platform data is also accessible as a <a href=\"https:\/\/console.cloud.google.com\/marketplace\/product\/bigquery-public-data\/open-targets-platform?project=open-targets-genetics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Google Cloud public dataset<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/platform.opentargets.org\/downloads\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">data downloads<\/a>, to explore specific datasets and integrate them into your own pipelines.
