Advanced metadata search
This section is about searching the file level metadata inside a submission. In the BioImage Archive each submission file is listed in a ‘File List’. File List is used to describe all the files that you wish to include in your submission, both image files and other supporting files e.g., analysis results. It contains file level metadata, i.e. attributes associated with each file, such as compound, concentration etc. for a compound treatment experiments or Gene Identifier, Gene Symbol etc. for genetic variation studies (see File List guide for more details).
You can search within the File List level metadata of individual submissions. Open the page of any submission and you will see a search box when you expand the data view (Figure 4).
You can either search within the whole File List level metadata or within individual columns of the file list. To do the latter you need to click the plus sign next to the Search box and search boxes will appear under each column header. Explore the metadata search page by clicking on the
