Programming for biocurators
Programming can be a very useful skill for biocurators, particularly when working with large datasets or when there is a need to automate common tasks.
Having programming skills:
- enables the answering of more complex questions
- enables the automation of repetitive tasks
- allows the use and re-use of workflows
- facilitates interaction in a multi-disciplinary team
- allows for the understanding and management of big data
