What is RNAcentral?

RNAcentral is a database of ncRNA sequences of all ncRNA types from all organisms. It provides a single entry point for accessing data from numerous specialised RNA databases.

How to access the data?

There are three main ways to explore RNAcentral:

  • Text search and browsing the data using the search interface
    Try searching RNAcentral by gene name, RNA type, database or species name, paper title or other keywords.
     
  • Sequence search
    Search against a comprehensive set of ncRNA sequences using a web interface.
     
  • Genome browser
    Explore ncRNAs in reference genomes from select species.
